Brief Description

The Vision Rehabilitation Clinic is a direct service component of the Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies at Western Michigan University.
The clinic evaluates remaining vision, prescribes appropriate low vision aids, and provides training in their use.

Services Offered

  • Computer Training/Assistive Technology
    • Offers computer training nand training in the use of assistive technology.

  • Low Vision Services
    • Provides low vision evaluation and follow-up. Prescribes and supplies low vision devices (video magnification systems from Optelec, Pulse Data, Magnasight, and Enhanced Vision Systems). Bioptic Driving

  • Information and Referral
    • Offer adults who are blind or visually impaired information and resources they need to lead successful, productive, independent lives.
