Brief Description
The Mission of the Iowa Department on Aging is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated and cost-effective system of long term living and community support services that help individuals maintain health and independence in their homes and communities.
Services Offered
- Employment/Job Training
- Offers job training, placement, job-seeking skills.
- Information and Referral
- Provides referrals to Area Agencies on Aging and information on other local aging services.
- Health
- Provides health screening, public health nursing, home health (as coordinated by AAA).
