Brief Description
The National Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB) is a technical assistance and dissemination center funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). It is part of a network of projects for children and youth (birth through 21) who are deaf-blind, that includes deaf-blind projects in every state, as well as Puerto Rico, the District of Columbia, the Pacific Basin, and the Virgin Islands. NCDB's primary mission is to support state deaf-blind projects as they assist educators, agencies, and organizations to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to help children with deaf-blindness learn, access the general education curriculum, and successfully transition to adult life. NCDB has an extensive website with information about deaf-blindness and high-quality instructional practices.

- Extensive website with information about deaf-blindness and high-quality instructional practices related to children and youth who are deaf-blind. Individuals can also submit information requests via a website form or by sending an email to support@nationaldb.org.
- Consultation/Technical Program Assistance
- Provides technical assistance (TA) and support to assist state deaf-blind projects in the implementation of IDEA and evidenced-based practices.
