Brief Description
The Center for the Visually Impaired is a nonprofit agency dedicated to serving the special needs of blind and visually impaired individuals and has been providing a wide variety of critical services for the past 20 years.
A full range of rehabilitation and training programs, as well as social services, low vision services, and employment services for teenagers enables participants to preserve their independence and achieve their highest potential.

- Daily Living Skills/Independent Living Skills Training
- Provides independent living training and individual instruction.
- Computer Training/Assistive Technology
- Offers computer training.
- Travel/Orientation and Mobility
- Offers O&M training.
- Support Groups
- Sponsors are self-help groups called PALS (Persons Adjusting to Limited Sight) in four counties. PALS provides the visually impaired person and their families with an opportunity to get together for social, educational and recreational purposes on a monthly basis.
