AFB’s newest television public service announcement—based on the theme “Every seven minutes someone in the U.S. becomes severely visually impaired…”—has been distributed to broadcast and cable outlets throughout the country. Produced in conjunction with Banyan Communications in St. Louis, the spots remind viewers that losing your vision does not mean losing your way of life, and that for over 80 years, AFB has been helping visually impaired people live successfully and independently. Viewers are then encouraged to call AFB’s toll-free information line (800-232-5463) or visit aphcareerconnect.org.
The PSA has received excellent airplay from both broadcast stations and cable networks nationwide, including major media markets such as New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.
