History

FamilyConnect was originally created by the American Foundation for the Blind (AFB) and the National Association for Parents of Children with Visual Impairments (NAPVI). AFB’s comprehensive research and information, and NAPVI’s broad-reaching base of families combined to create a unique resource and welcoming online community. As of July 1, 2018, the American Printing House for the Blind became the steward of this vital service, and we hope to build upon the great work of AFB and NAPVI.
